I'll defintely accept any help I can get Tim/Agnes, especially given the current circumstances. I was basically told flat out (through forums, chats with the higher ups, and forum lurking) that no one wants to do forum based, which is shown in all of them struggling with few exceptions like the Portland.

Over the weekend, I'm planning on scrapping everything and rebuilding it as a Nova sim. The forum will transition to the OOC planning environment. So I could definitely use any Nova help if any of you have any Nova tips or experience. You don't have to join, but I could use any and all tips on these things:

1. Skinning (getting away from default and replacing the cool Titan planet with a ship image and changing colors, etc)
2. Adding side bar images, like alert status.
3. The Tour page and the wiki

Thanks again if any of you could help in that aspect.

I can't stand Nova. It seems so broken up with stories in different areas and menus whereas Nova framents into different screens.

I appreciate the offer, but I do want to announce something here. Effectively as soon as the TFCO pushes the button, I'll be resigning the Wolff. It has really been nothing but a frustration , and I stepped into the CO role before I was ready. I've given up a few characters aboard other ships that I really wanted to enjoy, and I've even had a pretty big dropoff here in the last few weeks. In short, it caused me to lose the love I had for simming in general.

With that said, I would rather have my characters than one CO. I may try to give an XO position a try before I attempt to CO again... if I ever try it again. Thanks to all of your, especially our Captain and Agnes for all of their help. They help me keep it going longer than it would have otherwise.

I did the same thing a while back in another fleet. You don't have to be the co to have fun. The best thing a ship can have is a couple good quality writers that enjoy writing their characters and can help keep a ship running. It takes more than a good co and xo to make a good ship great. So it might be a sad moment to lay down your own ship, but its a great moment for the ships that get to keep you as a writer.

I appreciate the kind words. I learned alot from the experience, some good and bad things but I did learn. I know one day, I'll definitely give the big chair another go, but I'm not there yet.

For now, I'll focus on being a great player.

Agreed Tyrlai. I have absolutely no interest in being a CO. But I love creating good stories and helping others. I'm best in behind the scene backup roles.

Being a CO can be a lot of frustrating work and effort, sometimes getting very little back. It can also take a lot of time and for some it's not fun. It's not a bad thing that it didn't work this time because it allows you, and your other characters too in a way to grow. You can use the experience to enhance your RP output on others and you become better prepared later down the line.

An XO position is a good place to start and one I'd definitely recommend as you can have a lot of fun there without a lot of the worry.

Good luck in the future and don't give up on being a CO, just wait until you feel really ready.
