All right, this is a thread to talk about our little mirror universe subplot in the lower decks.

The details are still being worked out, but it will give a glimpse into the mirror universe.

Basically, when we last left the mirror universe, the Terran Rebellion was doing well, having seized Terok Nor (and presumably Bajor as well by now) and, with the help of the good folks from DS9, have the ability to build Defiant-class starships. I think in the years since then, they've probably managed to hold onto a good chunk of territory, but are still at war with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance.

I imagine that some of our MU characters would be on either side of this war. Probably most of the humans would be with the Rebellion, while Alenis is going to be an Alliance captain.

So... lets flesh things out!

If no one objects, I'd like to take mirror-Sera in a different direction than prime-Sera. Here, she is idealistic, naive, and the first of her family to leave Earth. In the MU, I'd like her to be cynical, anti-alien, and the daughter of a line of Terran Starfleet leaders. Also, the Captain's Lady unless one of the other lady characters wants to claim that (think Hoshi Saito in ENT: In a Mirror, Darkly).

As for the Portland itself, I had a few ideas. In the time between TOS and DS9, the Terran Empire was taken out and humans were put into slave positions. With that said, there was no Starfellt to maintain their fleet. I was thinking that with the new Terran gains in the 10 years since DS9, our mirror crew could have found a 100 year old Miranda adrift, upgraded it with Defiant technology, and created a pretty OK warship.

That sounds cool.

For Alenis, she's probably going to be a captain of an Cardassian super-dreadnought. As the Terrans have retaken Terok Nor and likely Bajor as well, the only thing she hates more than Terrans are people from the prime universe.

Also she has a badass eye patch

Alenis, or any Bajoran for that matter, could treat the Terrans as the occupation. The Terrans would be their Cardassians. For a bigger mission, we could have the Terrans controlling some of the Orbs. The Bajorans could even have their own resistance cells as they did during their occupation, it'd just be the mirror version.

Depending on the needs of the story, Amata can either be an officer on Alenis's ship who joined the Alliance Military (something unnecessarily aggressive like weapons officer or captain's personal guard) back when they had control of Bajor, or a worker on the station whose been an oppressed labouror his entire life, first under the Alliance and then under the Terrans. Which one happens depends on were most of the mirror universe action is needed.

Jason Beauvoir: It didn't make much sense that the Voyager crew couldn't make more torpedoes, after all the created a new shuttle (the Delta Flyer) as well as as some new probes, that weren't on board in the beginning. Apr 2, 2015 2:41:40 GMT
